Summary of Role:

Oversee the sales activities to enable the department to secure business for the company through sales and marketing activities backed up by an aggressive strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build strong client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer need to inform business decisions.
  • Lead customer satisfaction initiatives and implement service improvement plans.
  • Manage quotations, strategic tenders, and key commercial opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the commercial team to achieve sales and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with operations and support teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
  • Oversee key account performance, contract compliance, profitability, and customer retention.
  • Monitor commercial performance and provide timely reports, insights, and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or Engineering
  • Knowledge of Logistics-Clearing and Forwarding
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development within logistics, forwarding, supply chain, or related services.
  • Ability to translate operational concepts into business solutions
  • Already in relation to key market stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and ideally also French
