About the role

You will own the day-to-day product operations in Uganda, acting as the on-ground coordinator for our Customer and Sales applications, as well as other IT Projects, and working closely with a Product Team based in Kenya and Europe.Uganda economic outlook

Key responsibilities

Customer App

  • Act as the primary contact between the product team and local stakeholders
  • Coordinate feature rollouts in the Ugandan market
  • Organize testing cycles and conduct customer interviews
  • Translate local market needs into product requirements
  • Track app metrics and report on performance

Sales App

  • Own the Sales App in Uganda
  • Coordinate rollouts with local sales teams
  • Run structured testing with field agents and conduct feedback sessions
  • Monitor field usage of the app
  • Capture process requirements for the product backlog

Ad-hoc projects

  • Lead market-relevant initiatives, such as integrations with local payment or ID verification providers
  • Implement key IT projects in Uganda
  • Manage scope, stakeholders, and timelines
  • Document outcomes and hand over to operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Project Coordination, Telecommunications, Fintech, or Digital Products
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to gather feedback and translate business needs into requirements
