Description
Goodman International is hiring a Driver (2) with the following responsibilities based in Mbarara;
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive any company vehicles as assigned by management or line manager.
- Always keep and maintain a Valid Driving Permit.
- Personal hygiene and cleanliness are key.
- Keep the Vehicle(s) clean inside and out.
- Use the Vehicle (s) in a safe manner at all times, always wearing safety belts.
- Drive according to planned and programs routes as per specified trips.
- Help with maintenance of the Vehicle (greasing small repairs, etc.)
- Perform a safe and timely transportation of company visitors from origin to destination.
- Maintain Professional representation of the Company through responsible driving and appearance.
- Record and maintain accurate mileage readings in the mileage log books.
- Maintain files, records of documents and mileage books regarding the vehicle.
- Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers and Company equipment
- Promptly report all delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to delivery or pick up of Products.
- Report any maintenance problems to the Fleet Manager or Supervisor for timely handling.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures, and comply with all Government and traffic rules.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal Driver candidate should;
- Possess an Ordinary Level Certificate of Education (O-Level).
- Possess a valid driving permit with B, A, and C1 classes
- Have a minimum of Three (3) years of active driving experience
- Be familiar with the local area and a good sense of direction.
- Have understanding of traffic patterns.
- Be reliable and trustworthy.
- Must be a team Player.
- Preferably not above 30 years of age.
- Be a resident of Mbarara Town/surrounding areas, or be strictly willing to relocate to Mbarara..
