About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Female Enrolled Nurse to join our team at a busy community drug shop in Kawoko, Bujuko, Nansana. The successful candidate will provide quality nursing care, support pharmacy operations within the scope of practice, and deliver excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Assess patients and provide basic nursing care within the scope of an Enrolled Nurse.
- Measure and record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide health education and advice on medication use and disease prevention.
- Refer patients requiring advanced medical care to appropriate health facilities.
Drug Shop Support
- Dispense medications as authorized and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Provide guidance to clients on the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure medicines are stored according to recommended standards.
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Maintain accurate treatment and dispensing records.
- Ensure the drug shop is clean, organized, and compliant with infection prevention and control standards.
- Support daily operational activities and adhere to all Ministry of Health and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver courteous and professional customer service to all clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate in Enrolled Comprehensive Nursing or Enrolled Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a health facility, clinic, pharmacy, or drug shop.
- Knowledge of primary healthcare services and medication dispensing practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
