We operate a high-intensity model with two production seasons per year. We are seeking a highly practical, hands-on, and results-driven Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations, machinery management, and crop production.
Position Overview

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for the daily supervision of 15 permanent staff and up to 300 seasonal workers. The Farm Manager ensures that land preparation, planting, crop protection, harvesting, and post-harvest handling are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

- Oversee all agronomic activities including land preparation, precision planting, fertilizer application, pest/disease management, and irrigation (where applicable).
- Monitor crop health daily, proactively identifying risks (pests, disease, moisture stress) and implementing swift corrective actions.
- Drive maximum grain yield per acre while strictly minimizing post-harvest losses.
2. Workforce Supervision & Labor Relations

- Ensure high productivity, discipline, and adherence to safety protocols across all field teams.
- Manage daily casual labor logs, task assignments, and performance tracking for accurate payroll processing.
3. Machinery, Inventory & Asset Maintenance
- Ensure the optimal operation, routine maintenance, and security of all farm machinery, tractors, implements, and specialized tools.
- Manage farm stores and inventory, tracking the precise usage of high-value inputs like seeds, fertilizers, fuel, and agrochemicals.
- Oversee the upkeep of storage facilities (silos/stores) to maintain strict grain quality standards post-harvest.
4. Data Collection & Reporting
- Maintain meticulous daily records of field activities, weather data, input applications, and machinery runtime.
- Provide accurate daily and weekly operational updates to the General Manager regarding crop progress, labor attendance, and operational bottlenecks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, or Farm Management (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial agricultural operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on a large-scale (200+ acre) cereal or grain farm.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep practical knowledge of modern mechanized grain production, soil nutrition, pest management, and post-harvest handling protocols.
