Description

As a Field Quality & Compliance Officer, you are the guardian of operational integrity in our nature-based projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that every planting activity, farmer interaction, and monitoring process is executed in line with internal protocols and international certification standards.

Through regular field visits, structured quality checks, and supportive coaching, you help field teams and local stakeholders meet technical, ethical, and procedural requirements. You don’t just audit, you support, correct and strengthen the foundations of long-term impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct field visits to assess the quality and consistency of on-the-ground implementation
  • Verify compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant certification guidelines (e.g. Gold Standard)
  • Identify risks, inconsistencies, and gaps in field operations and report them clearly and constructively
  • Support farmers, monitors, and field staff in understanding and applying compliance protocols
  • Maintain detailed documentation of field checks, findings, and recommended follow-up actions
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with local stakeholders to encourage accountability and transparency
  • Act as the first line of internal quality assurance across project sites and coordinate closely with HQ

This is a field-first role for someone who enjoys structure, values integrity, and knows how to engage communities with a balance of clarity and empathy.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who combines a strong sense of operational discipline with a hands-on, collaborative approach. You are confident in the field, comfortable working independently, and committed to high standards.

You bring:

  • A diploma or degree in project management, agriculture, rural development, or a related field
  • Proven experience working with rural communities or in field-based project roles
  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to spot operational risks or gaps early
  • Practical knowledge of compliance principles and implementation oversight
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be clear, firm, and supportive at the same time
  • Comfort with extensive travel and fieldwork, often in rural or semi-remote locations
  • Bonus: experience in monitoring & evaluation, internal auditing, or standards-based verification

You’re the kind of person who takes pride in doing things the right way, and helping others do the same.

Benefits

Competitive Compensation & Ownership

  • A competitive salary that reflects your expertise and responsibility
  • Performance-based rewards and growth opportunities within a fast-scaling international company
  • Share in our long-term success – all employees receive stock options in our publicly listed company (AEX: DGB)

Purpose-Driven Work

  • Your attention to detail ensures real-world integrity, every verification you conduct strengthens the impact of our reforestation and conservation work
  • Be part of something tangible, our projects are real, and you’re encouraged to engage, and experience the work you support

  • A results-first environment, we care about quality and consistency, not where your desk is
  • Join a global team of professionals who are passionate about doing good work, the right way
