For over 27 years, Adara Development (Uganda) has delivered long-term, high-impact programs in Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH). We are seeking to recruit a Finance Officer to support the financial operations of Adara Development in Uganda.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Maintaining strong financial controls, supporting annual budgeting process and fund requests with reporting
- Reviewing and posting financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Managing month-end processes, including reconciliations and journal entries as well as analysing budget versus actual reports
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, auditors, banks and government bodies
ABOUT YOU
- A degree in business, accounting, economics or a related field
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role, including month-end processes and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles
- Experience using accounting systems and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- The ability to build effective working relationships across teams
