JOB DETAILS:

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Geo-Information Systems; or Geography; or Surveying; or Engineering; or Computer Science from a recognized University/ Institution

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Geo-Information Systems Officer for performing the following duties:-

- Designing and establishing a Geo-Information System in line with the departmental targets and standards;

- Managing the acquisition of spatial data from external sources in line with departmental guidelines and targets;

- Carrying out data conversions and carrying out spatial analyses in line with departmental guidelines and targets;

- Conducting quality assurance on data and maps done by external Service Providers in line with departmental standards;

- In charge of responding to audit reports in line with departmental guidelines and standards;

- Developing a matrix and putting in place risk mitigation measures in the Geo-Information System;

- Participating in planning, budgeting and reporting in line with departmental guidelines and targets;

- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
