About Organisation:

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is a statutory body, established in 1996 by the Capital Markets Authority Act (Cap 84) as amended, to promote, develop and regulate the capital markets industry. CMA is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. The work of the CMA is also governed by the Securities Central Depositories Act, 2009 and the Collective Investment Schemes Act, 2003.

Job Summary:

Research & Market Development Department invites applications for a graduate trainee program within its department. The candidate will gain hands-on experience in Market Development of the capital markets including Report Writing, data analytics, risk assessment and Stakeholder Engagements among other dynamic learning opportunities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Eligibility Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration (Finance), Commerce or related disciplines with first class or upper second awarded in a period not exceeding two (2) years by the date of application.
• The desired candidate(s) should demonstrate strong interest in the capital markets industry, strong intellectual skills with the ability to comprehend technical matters pertaining to the area of training and demonstrate a high degree of social skills, self-awareness and self-motivation.
• The candidate(s) shall demonstrate a high potential to progress to a level required for a substantive position at the Authority by the end of the program.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: bachelor degree
