Background
Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.
Job Description
Supports routine employee administration, attendance tracking, payroll preparation, recruitment coordination, and personnel records management. Facilitates frontline human resource operations while upholding strict standards of employee data confidentiality and integrity.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and verify attendance sheets, clocking records, leave forms, overtime logs, and shift rosters for completeness.
- Enter attendance data into HR or payroll software under supervision without independently altering employee pay rates or payroll rules.
- Create and maintain complete personnel files containing contracts, identification cards, academic documents, leave records, disciplinary actions, and training certificates.
- Assist with issuing company identity cards, employee uniforms, and new hire onboarding materials.
- Coordinate recruitment activities by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, organizing documentation, and preparing assessment materials.
- Address routine employee procedural inquiries using approved information while escalating sensitive matters to HR officers or managers.
- Compile basic human resource reports covering attendance patterns, headcount, leave balances, and training attendance.

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Records Management, Accounting, Commerce, or related disciplines
- Certificate, National Certificate, or vocational business qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Records Management, Accounting, Commerce, or related fields
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) qualification
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) qualification supplemented by office or computer training for clerical entry
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Comprehensive onboarding training covers HR policies, personnel files, confidentiality, attendance, payroll inputs, leave systems, employee communication, labour law awareness, recruitment administration, and HR software.
