We are seeking an International Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to join our Projects team in Uganda. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of International Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Leads the standardization and continual improvement of Samaritan's Purse MEAL curriculum, developing and delivering training through webinars, remote instruction, and in-person sessions while ensuring MEAL content remains current within the Program Management Field Operating Guidelines.
• Builds the capacity of field and IHQ staff by developing practical training on qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, data collection tools, data quality and validation, and best practices; mentors and onboards M&E staff as requested.
• Provides technical MEAL guidance to international country offices and Projects, advising on data collection and analysis methodologies, MEAL strategies for proposals and reports, assessment tools and surveys, and statistical analysis to help teams interpret data and make informed program decisions.
• Strengthens data integrity and program accountability by designing and updating data collection and analysis templates, rigorously cleaning and validating country-office data, reviewing internal and external assessments, conducting IHQ MEAL reviews, and synthesizing lessons learned.
• Supports disaster response and operational excellence through technical assistance to IDRU and DART, development of sector-specific paper and mobile data collection tools and DART MEAL SOPs, and in-country DART training, while promoting and safeguarding the welfare of Samaritan's Purse beneficiaries.
• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

Education: Four-year college or university program certificate with three or more years of related experience and/or training in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience applying grant monitoring and evaluation principles is required, along with 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.

Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills, manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines with keen attention to detail, and work autonomously to develop and implement plans while solving complex problems.

Ability to apply strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, conduct complex analyses across a wide variety of project issues, interpret data and trends, and use findings to inform sound programmatic decisions.

Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, considering cultural context and complex topics, and summarize and present findings clearly to stakeholders at diverse levels within an international and multicultural ministry environment.

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiently, as well as apply statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests using R, Python, or equivalent tools to conduct complex statistical analyses and strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation efforts.
