Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.
Reconcile physical inventory against computerized or manual stock records to identify discrepancies across all approved stock locations.
Support operational inventory integrity by conducting cycle counts, tracing documentation errors, and monitoring stock rotation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine cycle counts across warehouses, cold rooms, production stores, and finished goods areas.
- Prepare count sheets or electronic devices and verify items by product code, batch, location, unit of measure, and quantity.
- Execute careful physical counts and refrain from making unauthorized system stock adjustments.
- Conduct recounts and review movement documents to investigate differences such as unposted receipts, picking errors, damaged stock, and duplicate entries.
- Prepare variance reports and escalate unexplained inventory differences to supervisors.
- Identify stock nearing expiry and verify compliance with FIFO or FEFO stock rotation practices.
- Support month end inventory counts and furnish documentation to finance personnel and auditors.
- Liaise regularly with warehouse, production, dispatch, accounts, and procurement teams to reconcile inventory records.

- Basic spreadsheet proficiency and inventory software aptitude

Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma, National Diploma, Certificate, or National Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Stores Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
- Bookkeeping qualification or vocational business credential
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Comprehensive onboarding covers item codes, stock systems, counting techniques, batch tracking, variance analysis, document tracing, inventory integrity, and confidentiality.
