INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE OF OLD MOTOR VEHICLES, MOTORCYCLES, GENERATORS AND OLD CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

Busia Municipal Council intends to sell old motor vehicles, motorcycles, generators and old construction materials like iron sheets, doors, windows, timber, etc. The above items are sold on an "as is", where is "basis" and Busia Municipal Council will have no further liability after sale.

Busia Municipal Council now invites sealed bids for the purchase of the said items.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act Cap 205 and the regulations made under the act and is open to all bidders.

Interested bidders may inspect the old motor vehicles, motorcycles, generators and old construction materials like iron sheets, doors, windows, timber, etc. at Busia Municipal Council from 8:00am to 5:00pm during working days. Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from Busia Municipal Council Procurement & Disposal Unit from 8:00am to 5:00pm during working days.

The Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Head Procurement and Disposal Unit and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ugx 50,000/- for each lot as indicated in the bidding document. The method of payment will be through URA PRN obtained from the Municipal Treasurer. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

Bids must be delivered to the Procurement and Disposal Unit at or before 3rd March 2026 at or before 11:am Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at Busia Municipal Council boardroom on 3rd March 2026 at 11:30 am
