LABORATORY TECHNICIANS (02)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct routine tests and analyses on mineral samples

Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and instruments

Prepare reagents/solutions per approved procedures and support chemical/physical analysis

Record and maintain accurate laboratory results

Follow quality control, health, safety, and environmental procedures

Report equipment faults, unusual results, and safety incidents to the supervisor

Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of lab materials and waste

QUALIFICATIONS:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related field

Relevant laboratory experience, preferably in mining, geology

Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and safety requirements

Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines

Computer literacy and good record-keeping skills will be an added advantage
