Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.

Job Description

Execute packaging operations by applying outer carton barcode labels, inspecting box taping integrity, and stacking finished boxes onto pallets. Ensure final packaging meets food safety, quality, and traceability standards while preventing non conforming items from reaching downstream operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Apply outer carton barcode labels accurately in line with established alignment guidelines.
• Inspect manual cardboard box taping to verify secure sealing and packaging integrity.
• Stack sealed boxes onto pallets in accordance with approved pallet stacking configurations.
• Examine packaging materials and finished cartons to identify and contain deviations or defects.
• Maintain complete, legible, and timely packaging checklists, shift reports, and traceability records.
• Adhere to all occupational safety, food hygiene, and environmental controls throughout the packaging process.
• Report repeated quality defects, packaging damage, or equipment faults promptly to packaging supervisors.
• Keep the work station clean, orderly, and audit ready for internal and external food safety inspections.

Education Qualifications & Experience

Education Qualifications

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE / S.4) or Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE / S.6) Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, or relevant technical qualification in Packaging Technology, Food Science and Technology, Food Processing Technology, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, Environmental Health, Public Health, Quality Management, Agriculture, Applied Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, food safety, internal auditor, or laboratory quality certifications where applicable.

Experience

• No prior work experience required.
• Includes 1 week orientation.
