The Electricity Regulatory Authority, in accordance with Section 29 of the Electricity Act, Cap. 157, has received a Notice of Intended Application for a Licence from Epiyai Energy Limited for the development of the Kasese Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The proposed project is planned to be established in Bwenanule Ward, Muhokya Town Council, Kasese District.

The project site is located within the vicinity of the following geographical coordinates (WGS 84 – Zone 36, degrees):

Interested persons are invited to inspect the Application/Notice from the addresses below:

1. ERA House, Plot 5C-1, 3rd Street – Lugogo, Industrial Area, Kampala

2. ERA Western Region Office, Plot 7, Galt Road, Mbarara City

3. The Offices of the Resident District Commissioner, LCV Chairperson and Chief Administrative Officer of Kasese District

Pursuant to Section 30 of the Electricity Act, the Authority invites directly affected parties, public agencies, authorities, and individuals in the project-affected areas to submit written objections or comments regarding the project. Submissions can be made by post, hand delivery, email, fax, or other recorded delivery methods to the Authority at the address provided above or via email: secretary@era.go.ug. All submissions must be received no later than 30 (Thirty) days from the date of publication of this Notice.
