Job Advert: Parts Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

On behalf of our client, Automobile company we seek to recruit and interview for Parts Manager to oversee our parts operations and ensure efficient inventory management and customer satisfaction. The Parts Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all activities of the Parts Department. The role ensures the availability of genuine spare parts, effective inventory management, cost control, and excellent customer service to support the company's sales and service operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of genuine spare parts and accessories.
  • Develop and maintain efficient inventory control systems.
  • Monitor stock movement and conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Forecast parts requirements based on sales trends and service demands.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to procure parts at competitive prices.
  • Ensure timely ordering, receiving, storage, and issuance of spare parts.
  • Monitor inventory aging and implement measures to reduce obsolete stock.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and control operating costs.
  • Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and management reports.
  • Support the service department by ensuring the availability of required parts.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and warranty-related parts issues.
  • Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate parts department staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Automotive Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, or Automotive Management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in automotive spare parts management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
