On behalf of our client TOTAL ENERGIES, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Precom Supervisor Piping Offsiteto work at Site.
Job Description
Activities
The main responsibility of the position holders:
- Preparation of construction activities
- Check the engineering documents, in his discipline, prepared by the contractor and to give timely comments on and/or approval of, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements.
- Check the incorporation of such comments by the contractor.
- Participate in technical reviews.
- Ensure that all risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor.
- Control of the contractor during construction activities
- Ensure that the quality of the piping erection work (other than weld acceptance) performed on site by the contractor and subcontractors complies with contract requirements.
- Ensure that EPC contractor QHSE practices are acceptable, and that appropriate measures and procedures are being implemented by everyone concerned.
- Ensure that, for his discipline and area, the quality assurance record books are properly documented and maintained by the contractor.
- Assess any requests by the contractor to deviate from quality control procedures or requirements and to make appropriate recommendation to the Pipeline Spread Senior Superintendent.
- Participate in weekly, monthly and ad-hoc meetings with the contractor.
Reporting
- Report on any problem encountered in his discipline to the Piping & Vessel Engineer.
- Prepare the daily report in his discipline.
- Organize efficient communication with his back-to-back replacement.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications/Experience required
Qualification: Academic Qualification:
- HND/ Diploma or equivalent mechanical or related discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industry specifically infrastructure/construction projects, with thorough knowledge on various safety regulations, standards, procedures etc. Candidate must have previous experience in HSE Supervisory role.
- Knowledge of the Company group standards and/or previous experience with other major IOC’s in large oil and gas construction projects.
- Good presentation skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in the implementation of behavioral safety systems and analyzing the data produced. Understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems
- Experienced in performing HSE audits, inspections and reviews within Project and Contractors. Experienced in investigation, review and analysis of work-related accident/ incident including root cause and lessons learned and ensuring implementation and close-out of preventive and corrective actions.
- Experienced in providing safety training and awareness courses to company staff and Contractors.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work on their own initiative and proactively interact with discipline teams to obtain information.
- Must be able to react quickly and decisively to constantly changing demands and circumstances and be able to identify, analyze & solve problems within the scope of the role.
- Ability and willingness to effectively and robustly challenge the views of contractors and internal contacts.
- Valid Medical Certificate which complies with company Standards
