Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.

Prepares to coordinate a small production or packaging team under the direct guidance of an experienced shift manager or production supervisor.

Assists in monitoring shift outputs, managing line handovers, and maintaining operational readiness across assigned stations.

Ensures that machine safety, workplace hygiene, and product quality standards strictly take precedence over production targets.

  • Review production schedules, planned formats, staffing levels, target outputs, and handover issues at the start of each shift.
  • Track hourly line output and log quantities produced, rejected units, downtime, and changeover durations against set targets.
  • Communicate immediately with operators, maintenance, and quality personnel when line stoppages or quality deviations occur.
  • Confirm that station operators understand packaging requirements and remain at their assigned positions.
  • Monitor workplace hygiene, housekeeping, PPE use, and machine safety without bypassing guards or disabling sensors to achieve output.
  • Check packaging materials such as cartons, labels, film, and caps in advance to prevent operational stoppages.
  • Support product and packaging changeovers through cleaning, material clearance, and setup verification.
  • Assist with basic personnel administration under supervision, including break schedules, station rotation, and work allocation.
  • Complete accurate production records covering output, scrap, downtime, staffing, cleaning, and shift handover information.
  • Production output tracking and downtime reporting
  • Basic packaging line coordination and task allocation
  • Quality deviation escalation and defect identification
  • Machine safety and PPE compliance monitoring
  • Shift documentation and operational team communication
  • Bachelor's Degree, Higher Diploma, Ordinary Diploma, National Diploma, National Certificate, or recognized technical and vocational qualification in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Processing, Food Science, Manufacturing Technology, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Packaging Technology, or related studies.
  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with demonstrated numeracy, technical aptitude, and leadership potential.
  • Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) combined with relevant technical or production training.
