Background
The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to recruit a dynamic, self motivated individual to fill the role of a PROGRAMME CONTROLLER.
Job Purpose
To oversee the station's programming to ensure quality, reliable and attention grabbing content.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop the content strategies for the station to ensure growth of audiences-and revenue by:
- Development of strategy for implementation of appealing and competitive content.
- Developing promotional concepts.
- Attending relevant stakeholder meetings with Sales and informing units.
Manage the day to day operations of the station to ensure cost management and operational efficiency by:
- Planning and budgeting for the station.
- Implementing efficient technology.
- Efficient and timely accountability.
- Approving operational payments.
Manage staffs to maintain a highly productive team by:
- Coaching and training.
- Maintaining high standards of performance management.
- Handling grievance and discipline issues.
- Identifying talent.
- Ensuring a succession plan.
- Setting KPIs for the team.
- Convene regular staff meetings.
- Prepare regular and timely reports to HOTV.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication or Business Management.
Working Experience
- 3 - 5 years at a supervisory level in the TV industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Technical
- Basic broadcasting skills.
- Knowledge of UCC regulations.
- Content generation and production skills.
- Supervisory skills.
- Training and mentorship skills.
- Ability to deliver under pressure with minimum supervision.
