ABOUT THE ROLE

Access2innovation (A2i) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-profile Uganda–Denmark–EU programme supporting agribusiness development, green growth, and private sector partnerships. The programme focuses on priority value chains including dairy, pigs, poultry, horticulture, irrigation, food processing, green energy, and waste management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead day-to-day implementation of a multi-million-dollar development programme
• Manage work plans, budgets, procurement, and reporting
• Support value chain development and bankable business initiatives
• Facilitate Danish–Ugandan private sector partnerships and investments
• Manage competitive grant schemes and ensure ESG and fiduciary compliance
• Coordinate consultants, events, trade missions, and stakeholder engagement
• Lead a small administration and finance team

REQUIRED PROFILE

• Master’s degree in agribusiness, economics, development, business, engineering, or related field
• 8–10+ years’ experience in project management with strong commercial orientation
• Proven experience managing large budgets and complex stakeholder programmes
• Strong knowledge of agribusiness and green value chains in East Africa
• Experience with Danida or similar European development programmes is an advantage
• Excellent leadership, financial management, and communication skills
