On behalf of our client China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. Ltd (CPP), we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Environment officer to work in Kampala.
Location : Kampala
Positions :1
Activities
The position holder shall have the following responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental assessments and impact studies to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate the environmental impact of projects, operations, and initiatives.
- Provide recommendations for minimizing environmental harm and enhancing sustainability.
- Stay up to date with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws and standards.
- Assist in the permitting process and liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans.
- Monitor progress and report on sustainability goals and initiatives.
- Collect and analyse environmental data to assess trends and impacts.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and optimize environmental performance.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups.
Requirements
Mandatory Experiences required
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Oil and Gas Project.
