Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven candidate to join our team for a fixed-term contract in the Marketing Department. The Sales Clerk will support Simlaw Seeds’ sales and marketing operations at the branch level. Working under the supervision of a Sales Officer, the role ensures efficient product handling, accurate documentation, customer engagement, and promotion of Simlaw’s products in line with the company’s mission of delivering high-quality seeds to farmers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and verifying stocks.
- Dispatching products to customers.
- Processing sales orders.
- Reconciling sales and stock records.
- Drafting daily and monthly sales reports.
- Prospecting for new clients.
- Undertaking product demonstrations.
- Participating in organizing exhibitions and field days.
- Providing customer care services and advice on seed purchases.
- Maintaining cleanliness and proper display of products in the shop.
- Compiling and forwarding sales reports to management through the supervisor.
- Performing any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- A Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in sales, marketing, or agribusiness operations.
- Working knowledge of computer applications.
- Fulfilled the requirements of leadership and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated competence in work performance.
