Mission Description
Job Summary:
The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and optimizing inventory levels. The role involves managing inventory transactions, analyzing data, and implementing processes to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Review investigations from stock take discrepancies and approve stock adjustments.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly stock take schedules.
2. Inventory Control and Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and minimize losses.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse team to improve inventory management processes and procedures.
3. Transaction Processing:
- Process inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions in the WMS.
4. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and other relevant metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management on inventory management and optimization.
5. Compliance and Process Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Warehouse operations:
- Ensure compliance of inbound, outbound and stock take activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements (SLA)
- Ensure data for inventory KPI is completed.
- Ensure stock take results are analyzed.
- Identify gaps in inventory management procedures.
- Perform spot checks on WMS to ensure it is updated on time.
