Position Summary
As a Fire and Emergency Supervisor / Trainer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising comprehensive fire training programs for our personnel. You will ensure that all employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to fire and other emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver fire safety training programs tailored to oil and gas operations.
- Conduct regular drills and simulations to assess employee readiness.
- Supervise emergency response teams and collaborate with safety officers.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding fire safety.
- Stay updated on best practices in fire safety and emergency response.
- Supervise on-site maintenance of all the fire department equipment and vehicles.
- Delivery of fire safety, rescue services, incident management and oil spill containment related programs to a range of customers including the public and private sector.
- Day-to-day supervision and management of the Fire Safety and emergency.
- Ensure efficient and safe response in case of emergency.
- Knowledge transfer to the fire fighters during daily on job training.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in fire science or certification in HSE management, emergency management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Oil and Gas firefighting and emergency services.
- Proven experience as a fire safety trainer or supervisor, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
- Must be physically fit and present a medical fitness certificate.
- Possession of defensive driving skills with valid driver’s license (Class DH or CM) or any equivalent.
- First Aid and CPR certification will be an added advantage.
