Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will head the operations, maintenance, and administration of the sugar, distillery, and cogeneration factories, and will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the sugar complex.
- Setting annual operational targets for the factory and ensuring they are achieved.
- Preparing and monitoring budgets for both revenue and capital expenditure, reviewing performance across sections, and reporting deviations with corrective actions.
- Preparing and submitting MIS reports as required.
- Planning and overseeing preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Driving productivity improvements through the adoption of world-class manufacturing practices.
- Coordinating with section and department heads to ensure smooth factory operations.
- Engaging with union representatives on employee and administrative matters.
- Maintaining workplace discipline and supporting the training and development of local staff.
- Working closely with the project team on expansion and construction projects.
The incumbent should be a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Sugar Technology, with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in a sugar manufacturing unit. The preferred age range is 45–50 years.
