Under the direct supervision of the Regional Area Manager, the Field Supply Chain Manager will oversee procurement, warehousing, fleet and management in their respective regions. As an integral member of the Area Management Team, the Field Supply Chain Manager will provide day to day Supply Chain support to the programme by undertaking technical and practical operational tasks to ensure smooth, safe and efficient operation of logistical activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities.
• The Logistics Services packages comprising of multiple services and supply contracts and various frame contracts will aim at maximizing the works for local contractors and enhancing the national content of the project in compliance with the budget, work time schedule, HSE Optimum Requirements, level of quality and Contracts documentation and applicable Laws and regulations.
• To coordinate, prepare and administer the whole contracting process for the Logistics Services frame agreements, and services and supply contracts as necessary for the Tilenga Project.

Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The Supply Associate manages and supports all activities pertaining to the supply chain function including planning, sourcing & procurement, transport, shipping, customs clearance, warehousing, assets & fleet management and monitoring within the area of responsibility.
The incumbent is supervised by a higher level supply position and receives regular guidance and instructions from the supervisor on successive steps. The incumbent may supervise some staff in the office. The incumbent maintains regular contact on a working level on routine issues with other UNHCR offices, UN agencies, NGOs, government partners and commercial contractors in the area to facilitate performing the supply function. The duty of the incumbent is to support and monitor the supply activities assigned to him/her within the geographical area covered while exercising efficiency in the use of the available resources.
