World Health Organization works as body of the United Nations (UN) system, responsible for directing and coordinating health. The goal of the organization is to build a better, healthier future for all people in the world and its staff work closely with governments and partners to ensure the highest attainable level of health for all people.
The World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa established an African Health Workforce Observatory to keep an updated regional database and monitor progress and support decision making. The database is update annually as part of keeping track of progress of management of the health workforce in Uganda.
