A successful candidate will have the following:

The Emergency Health and Nutrition Officer (EHNO) will oversee emergency health and nutrition response interventions including coordinating emergency preparedness and response plans, conducting assessments, planning and implementing health and nutrition interventions, monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, providing technical guidance and support to staff and partners, liaising with government agencies and other stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines and FH Disaster response plan. He/she will also support regular review of project plans and adjustment in the case of any other evolving public health emergencies and natural hazard-caused calamities. ERT members are full-time staff who have other roles within FH’s regular program that are trained and equipped to respond to emergencies. FH can also engage experienced or trained contractors and partners as part of the ERT

The Emergency Health and Nutrition Officer should have a minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience in nutrition and health programming, planning, implementation, and/or evaluation in an emergency setting.
Related working experience in outbreaks and/or health emergency operations in the area of nutrition and health.
In depth understanding of integration of health and nutrition (Maternal child health, Integrated management of acute malnutrition, surveillance, SRHR, IYCF in emergencies and voucher system in emergence preparedness and response
Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition, Public Health or Community Health & Nutrition and clinical medicine and health sciences. Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
Specialized training in any emergency response and disaster management, humanitarian principles and SPHERE is an added advantage

Ability to plan own work, set priorities, complete work under pressure or when faced with competing demands and report.
Commitment to producing quality project deliverables on time and under budget
Experience working in emergency or refugee context.
