About US:
Mbale People's Hospital, owned and supported by People's Life Care Foundation and licensed by the Ministry of Health, is seeking a qualified and experienced Public Health Dental Officer to join our dynamic healthcare team. We offer a wide range of health services and we are looking for talented professionals to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
• Examine and Diagnose Patients: Conduct thorough examinations, take dental X-rays, and diagnose dental conditions.
• Perform Dental Procedures: Conduct various dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, crowns, and bridges etc.
• Prescribe Medication: Prescribe medications for our dental patients.
• Educate Patients: Educate patients and/or the Public on oral hygiene, diet, and lifestyle habits to promote oral health and wellness.
• Maintain Patient Records: Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and progress.
• Develop Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans to address patients' dental needs and concerns.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients
• Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Requirements:
• A Diploma in Public Healthcare Dentistry from a recognized institute.
• Bachelor’s Degree is an added advantage
• A valid annual practicing license issued (APL) by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council/ The Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Experience: At least Two year of experience in general dentistry.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate and personalized care to every patient
