About the Role
YSAT is recruiting three Project Assistants – FSL to implement Food Security and Livelihoods activities under its OCHA-funded Refugee Response Programme, with a particular focus on cash assistance — including beneficiary mobilisation, registration, targeting, verification, cash transfer activities, financial literacy, and post-distribution monitoring.
Recruitment is contingent upon confirmation of funding by UNOCHA's Uganda Humanitarian Fund.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct beneficiary mobilisation, registration, profiling, targeting, and verification for cash assistance in the assigned settlement
- Implement assigned activities within the monthly cash transfer cycle including beneficiary communication, payment preparation, mobilisation, and follow-up
- Facilitate beneficiary-facing cash delivery processes by providing accurate information on payment schedules and mobile money requirements
- Conduct financial literacy and digital cash management sessions covering safe cash use, mobile money, fraud prevention, and financial decision-making
- Collect, verify, and maintain accurate beneficiary, payment, activity, and monitoring data using approved YSAT tools
- Conduct post-distribution monitoring activities and prepare timely field updates and activity reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, Economics, Agriculture, Humanitarian Studies, Food Security and Livelihoods, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience implementing or supporting humanitarian, food security, livelihoods, or cash-based programmes in refugee or displacement settings
- Practical experience in cash assistance, beneficiary mobilisation, registration, targeting, verification, community engagement, and data collection
- Valid motorcycle riding permit is mandatory
- Prior experience working with Refugee-Led Organizations is a requirement
