Agricultural Extension Officer at Masaka Coop. Union Ltd

In its efforts to promote Hass Avocado/horticultural crop among the farmers in greater Masaka, MCU Ltd now needs to recruit an Extension Officer to carry out specific duties on the programme that will start soon.

• Qualifications: A female graduate in Agriculture/Crop Science, agronomy/related field.
• Period: 2 years (Renewable).
• Age: 24-29 years.
• Knowledge: Crop production, integrated pest and disease control, management, and post-harvest handling.

Additional Job Description:
The Agricultural Extension Officer will be responsible for providing technical support to farmers, conducting field demonstrations, and training farmers on best practices for Hass Avocado and other horticultural crops. The officer will also monitor crop growth, advise on soil management, and facilitate linkages between farmers and markets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
