Description
True North Consult is hiring a Driver responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services. The role involves driving staff, guests, and materials as required, ensuring proper maintenance of the vehicle, and adhering to all traffic and organizational regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive staff, visitors, and goods to designated destinations in a timely manner.
- Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition through regular checks and prompt reporting of maintenance needs.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness (interior and exterior).
- Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel usage, service schedules, and repairs.
- Comply with traffic laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist with loading and offloading of goods or materials when required.
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers and property in transit.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Person Specification
Education, Training, Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful.
- Physical fitness and ability to assist with handling goods.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with local routes, traffic regulations, and road safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of O-Level Certificate (or equivalent).
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and 3–5 years of professional driving experience.
- Defensive driving training will be an added advantage.
