Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU) is a Christian non-profit housing organization affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International. Since 1982, HFHU has supported over 1.5 million Ugandans with improved housing, vocational training, and WASH services.
We are seeking a motivated and passionate HR Intern to support the Human Resources, Learning, and Organization Development (HRLOD) department. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or student interested in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding logistics
- Support the organization of staff files and HR documentation
- Help with planning and coordination of trainings and wellness events
- Participate in organizing safeguarding and inclusion sessions
- Perform general administrative tasks under HR supervision
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate or final-year student in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Years of Related Experience: 3–6 months of previous experience through internship, volunteer work, or academic projects is desirable
- Interest in nonprofit HR operations
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Internship Terms:
- This is a non-compensated opportunity in line with HFHU’s Internship Policy
- Interns may be provided with:
- Tea at the office
- Transport allowance
- Modest accommodation while in field offices, if applicable
