HSE Specialist Intern
The HSE Specialist Intern supports local management in establishing and continuously improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture at the worksite.
Responsibilities:
- Develop awareness and ensure HSE policies and standards are an integral part of the worksite.
- Assist the team with implementing the HSE Management System, monitoring HSE objectives, assessing local risks and generating local HSE procedures.
- Monitoring HSE plans and compliance to policies, standards and procedures.
- Coordinate HSE training.
- Review of HSE documentation and training material
- Monitor and follow up on HSE reports and HSE audits.
- Recommend improvements to the HSE program.
- Analyze HSE trends for the location.
Experience & Exposures:
- Recent graduate in a Health, Safety and Environment related field.
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office.
- Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative.
- Able to follow company policies including Personnel, Quality System, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards and procedures.
