NeatNature is hiring a Production Assistant – Charcoal Briquettes Manufacturing to support the full production cycle of our sustainable briquettes—from raw material sourcing through quality control and packaging. You will lead daily production activities, supervise casual labour support, and ensure efficiency, safety, and quality at every stage.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Plan weekly production, source and manage raw materials (maize stalks, coffee husks, groundnut shells), and maintain stock levels.
  • Supported by casual workers, lead daily production tasks, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Operate and oversee carbonization kilns and briquette press machinery.
  • Conduct quality checks during mixing, pressing, and drying phases to ensure briquettes meet standards.
  • Package finished briquettes based on demand and maintain accurate inventory and production logs.
  • Participate in market promotions and community outreach to support marketing efforts.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Holds a minimum Diploma in agricultural operations, renewable energy technologies, or related fields.
  • Demonstrates leadership through clear communication, training ability, and team supervision.
  • Possesses planning skills for efficient production scheduling, material sourcing, and workflow management.
  • Has financial management awareness for tracking material costs, minimizing waste, and supporting budget adherence.
  • Is physically capable of hands-on work and supervising a team.
  • Can operate machinery safely and train others to do so.
  • Is reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Is passionate about environmental sustainability and community impact.
  • Has good communication skills in English and local languages.

Bonus If You Have

  • Technical training in farm/production machinery operations.
  • Knowledge in environmental conservation, sustainability, and energy-saving techniques.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience in briquette production or small-scale manufacturing.
  • Basic smartphone/WhatsApp skills for reporting and coordination.

Work Schedule

Monday–Saturday (6 days/week) | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Occasional flexibility for deliveries or events
