JOB DETAILS:
Location: Remote / Kampala-based
Type: Internship (6 months, with prospect of full-time offer)
Reports to: Project Lead / Director
About the Role
We are launching an exciting new digital project that promotes products from local traders on Instagram and TikTok using creative image carousels and short-form videos. The goal is to offer shared advertising for small traders to help them reach more customers affordably.
We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and social media-savvy Intern to join us and help bring this idea to life.
Responsibilities
• Assist in sourcing and collecting product photos and details from traders where traders self-add their products through an online ptatfrom.
• Organise the Instagram carousel posts and TikTok slideshows generated for you for further enhancements such including your voiceover.
• Write engaging product captions, headlines, and hashtags
• Record voiceovers or narrations for video content (in English and Luganda)
• Assist in scheduling and posting content across platforms
• Reply to social media DMs and comments to redirect customers to the correct seller
• Help build and grow our community of traders and followers
• Collect feedback from traders and users to improve our content
• Support with basic analytics and reporting (likes, views, shares, orders)
Requirements
• A passion for social media, marketing, and Ugandan small businesses
• Confident spoken voice for narrating videos (clear, friendly tone)
• Good writing skills for short captions, headlines, and call-to-actions
• Basic design experience using Canva or similar tools (training provided)
• Owns a smartphone with good camera and internet access
• Basic knowledge of TikTok & Instagram trends
• Willingness to learn, try new things, and grow fast
