About the role:

Purpose: The role holder will be responsible for managing the Blending Operations.

  • To support effective and efficient Spirits packaging operations through Timely availability of Blends
  • Ensure proper coordination between the Lines and Blending room.
  • Monitoring the Quality Output of the Production Process.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Optimise and Support the Performance of all production lines
  • Blending and Filtering Spirit according to Production Plans.
  • Requisitioning and Planning for all Recipes required for Production.
  • Ensure proper Management of  spirits products packaging materials to prevent waste
  • Carry out Deep Readings of all the Tanks to ensure accurate readings of Volumes at the Beginning of Every Shift.
  • Offloading of Neutral Spirit Tanks and Ensuring Zero Leakages/Loss
  • Ensure Blending Room activities are conducted under safe working environment to prevent accident.
  • Carrying out Analytics for Neutral Spirits and Packaged Spirits to Ensure Compliance with Standards.
  • Review and Update all Process Control Records as Required(OPQR and SICs)
  • Update the Tier 1 Meeting Board with All KPIs at End of Shift.
  • Ensure the Filter Press Machine is cleaned according to Required Standard.
  • Participate in Tier 1 and sectional meetings.
  • Support Production Teams and Ensure Smooth Operations
  • Encourage operators to multi skill for flexibility and maintain good health.
  • Ensure alcohol, DrinkiQ and other policies are enforced.
  • Managing Operators and Cleaners within the Blending Room and ensure they are compliant.
  • Understand and apply the procedures around emergency demand.

KPIs

  • Availability of Packaged Blend for Bottling >95%
  • Maintain Liquid within limits- Liquid Loss <0.1%
  • Time Keeping and Attendance-100%
  • Zero Consumer Complaints and Returns-0%
  • Maintain and Adhere to Hygiene and House Keeping Standards>95%
  • SIRC Raised>2 per Day

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Structured and organized – able to handle time effectively and prioritize conflicting issues or activities.
  • High integrity and discipline with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Able to influence others
  • Resilient and energetic
  • Self-motivated
  • Confidence to be proactive on solving production related problems by cross-functional dialogue.
  • Able to lead, empower, inspire and motivate a team of spirits production and contractors/casuals.
  • Clearly communicate plans and production schedules to all stakeholders timely.

Relationships:

  • Stores Assistant of raw and component materials
  • Packaging Team to Ensure Adherence to Production plan and Give support
  • Cleaners to Ensure Proper Hygiene of the process
  • Quality team on quality of supplied production materials  and  finished products
  • Spirits Production Manager for any Escalations and Consultations
  • DHL to Ensure Raw Materials are Supplied on Time

Experience / skills required:

  • Diploma in Science (Biological, Chemical and Food science & Technology)
  • 2 years experience and Exposure preferably in FMCG industry.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft excel, word and PowerPoint.
