Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the staff advances monitoring system, including maintenance of tracking tool.
  2. Audit expense reports in line with IITA policies, donor guidelines, and ensure proper documentation.
  3. Coordinate cost recovery and chargeback submissions, ensuring timely processing of approved journals.
  4. Maintain the station’s asset register, ensuring assets are tagged and reconciled with headquarters.
  5. Support monthly financial reporting to headquarters.
  6. Coordinate the compilation and submission of PAYE and NSSF returns.
  7. Process casual laborers’ payment requests in liaison with the PAC.
  8. Participate in quarterly stock counts.
  9. Support physical verification and reconciliation of fixed assets.
  10. Generate station invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  11. Assist in internal and external audits as required.
  12. Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents (journals, payroll, etc.).
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience and Competencies Required:

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably with a non-profit organization.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
