Invitation to Bid for Disposal of Obsolete Assets

Disposal Reference Number: GU/DISP/2025-2026/00001

1. Gulu University intends to dispose of the following obsolete assets: Motorcycle, Motor Vehicle Engine, Generator, CT and other Equipment, Furniture and Fittings, Assorted Electronics, Plastic Tank, Used Tyres and others. The Obsolete assets are sold on "as is, where is" basis and the Entity will have no further liability after sale.

2. The Entity invites sealed bids for the purchase of the above obsolete assets.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Public Bidding Disposal method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, Cap 205.

4. Interested bidders may inspect the assets at the location indicated in 7(a) from 13/3/2026-24/3/2026 (Monday-Friday) between 10:00 am-4:00 pm.

5. (a) The bidding documents may be inspected and purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address indicated in 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 20,000 (Twenty Thousand Shillings Only) and Bank Charge of UGX 2,300. The method of payment will be cash deposit to Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) using Payment Reference Number (PRN) generated via website address: payments.gu.ac.ug. Follow all the necessary steps to generate PRN. 6. Bids must be delivered to the address indicated in 7(c) at or before 2:00 pm on 26/3/2026. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or the representatives of the bidders who choose to attend at the address indicated in 7(d) at 2:30 pm on 26/3/2026.

7. (a) The assets may be inspected at Gulu University Main Campus, Gulu City.
   (b) Documents will be issued from: Procurement and Disposal Unit, Room 5. Administration Block Annex, Gulu University Main Campus, Gulu City.
   (c) Bids must be delivered to: PDU Bid Box, Gulu University Main Campus, located at the Administration Block Annex, Room 5.
   (d) Address of bid opening: Council Boardroom, Administration Block, Gulu University Main Campus, Gulu City.
