JOB DETAILS:

4. Job Description: Biology/Chemistry Teacher (Secondary School)

Reports to: Head of Science Department / Head Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teach Biology and Chemistry to O-Level classes (S1-S4), and potentially A-Level.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assess, record, and report on student development, progress and attainment.
• Create a stimulating, disciplined and engaging classroom environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school functions and professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Biology & Chemistry) or a relevant Science degree with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
• Must be registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Proficiency in English and excellent classroom management skills.

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: bachelor degree
