Uganda Petroleum Institute, Kigumba (UPIK) is a Government Tertiary Institution under the Ministry of Education and Sports established to train Technicians and Craftsmen for the Oil and Gas industry and allied sectors. The institute is an accredited Centre for International Assessment bodies including OPITO, ECTB and City & Guilds, required 101 and 688 related hoteliers.
The government of Uganda through the Ministry of education and Sports has allocated funds to subsidies training of 100 qualifying Ugandans to a maximum of 80%, in the under listed programmes.
The office of the Academic Registrar now invites interested applicants for the fourth cohort beginning February 2020. Females are highly encouraged to apply.

Eligible Cardicates for these International Certificate Programs should have the following:

A least one (1) Principal pass in either Phycke, Chemistry or Mathematics.

Qualification, experience and knowledge in a formal technical field. Without evidence of formal qualifications, cardicates must be able to experience necessary to complete the course.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND READLINE
Each Copy Applications can be obtained from the Academic Registrars' office or online www.uplk. If each offer payment of a non-circulable application fee (# 55,000)² (including Bank Charges)³, Complete applications from a stockline returned to the Office of the Academic Registrars' office by 30:00pm on Friday, 19th December 2025.
