JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Tourism; or Library and Information Science; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Social Sciences; or any other related field plus a Master’s Degree in either Education; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Social Sciences; or any other related field from a recognized University / Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Education and Social Services for performing the following duties:-
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures for implementation of social service programs within the city as per the KCCA guidelines and objectives
• Developing and monitoring the implementation of approved social services programs within the City as per the KCCA objectives
• Coordinating and monitoring the management of public libraries within the city and ensure they are adequately stocked with relevant information for the community as per KCCA objectives
• Coordinating the development and monitoring the implementation of sports and recreation programs with the City as per KCCA guidelines
• Planning, maintaining and monitoring the development of tourism sites in the city as per KCCA guidelines
• Developing and monitoring the implementation of social service budget in line with the KCCA finance management guidelines
• Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
