On behalf of our client in the Paint manufacturing Industry we are seeking a competent and experienced Domestic Sales Executive to be based in Kampala, Uganda.
Job Summary
The Domestic Sales Executive shall be responsible for driving sales growth within the local market by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Domestic Sales Executive shall also focus on promoting the company's products/services, expanding the customer base, and increasing market share in the domestic market.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the domestic market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Promote and sell company products/services to retail, corporate, and individual clients.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and trends.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer data.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as marketing, logistics, and finance for order processing and delivery.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events as required.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-7 years post qualification experience as a Sales Executive, preferably in the domestic market.
- Strong understanding of sales processes within the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze market data, campaign performance metrics, and customer insights to optimize marketing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in audience engagement and budget constraints.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Creative and strategic thinking-to align marketing initiatives with broader business goals and sales objectives.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and targets.
Barriers to Success in Role
- Limited or lack of knowledge about sales processes within the manufacturing industry.
- Inability to work independently and meet deadlines and targets.
