Health, Nutrition & Population Global Practice, in collaboration with the Global Thinking Faculty (GFT), is seeking to recruit a seasoned professional with demonstrated ability to deliver results to work as GFF Country Coordinator (GCC) based in Kampala, Uganda.
The position requires a highly organized professional with strong knowledge of GFF-related systems in the country. She will be a core team member in the GFF team continuing on the technical assistance to develop and implement prioritized national health plans to scale up access to affordable, quality care for women, children, and adolescents. The selected individual will report to the GFF Practice Manager and will also work closely with the GFF Government Food Plant to support the Government of Uganda in advancing reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health nutrition and Gender (RIMAC-N+N+) priorities.
The duties and accountabilities include: 1) Support the Government Food Plant in developing a stakeholder mapping and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are reflected; 2) Support analytical work required for the Movement Case (IC) and/or rapid profundization processes; 3) Support and facilitate the process of institutionalization of resource mapping, costing and expenditure tracking using resource mobilization and expenditure monitoring and help to disseminate results. Injl Support the Government to compete like multisafe/student country platform meetings. VJ Provide status reports on the use of GFF Trust Fund investments for IC development and supervision. VI) Provide and disseminate communication materials to ensure that all stakeholders are well informed of the GFF purpose, process, engagement and support in-country. VII) Conduct meetings with financiers donors civil society and other stakeholders if needed to ensure alignment and secure operational financing for priorities ever new. VIII) Support World Bank Risk teams in project operations including but not limited to project identification, preparation, implementation, supervision and completion processes. Ioj Support YRS Country office and Task Forum Lease in unit streamed-up function in support of GFF co-financing.
The successful candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Economics, Health Economics or any other relevant field from an reputable university, with at least eight members of the RIMAC-N+N-Q and/or health systems strengthening of other areas that requires strong results-focus and coordination of stakeholders. Strong communication skills, including winning and speaking postwaiversy in English with an ability to adapt information for different audiences. Experience working in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health/nutrition are health financing would be an asset. Experiences and Knowledge of IT programs used for data analysis and visualization would be an asset.
