Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Farm Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at our farm in Mubende. The role is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing farm machinery, mechanical equipment, and basic electrical systems, while planning and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure reliable farm operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and repair farm machinery and equipment
• Develop, implement, and follow preventive maintenance schedules
• Carry out routine inspections to minimize breakdowns and downtime
• Maintain diesel generators, pumps, tractors, sprayers, and small farm equipment
• Perform basic electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Keep accurate maintenance and service records
• Report major faults and maintenance needs to the Operations Manager
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of PPE

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Proven previous experience in farm, mechanical, or equipment maintenance
• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field (preferred)
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, and farm machinery
• Ability to plan and manage preventive maintenance
• Reliable, disciplined, and willing to work full-time on a farm in Mubende
