Core Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Finance Leadership:
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting & financial planning for NGO + consulting arm (EWB-EA Consult).
    • Provide data-driven insights to management/Board for growth decisions.
  2. Compliance & Systems:
    • Ensure adherence to Ugandan tax laws, donor rules, NGO regulations & audit standards.
    • Strengthen internal controls (payroll, reconciliations, reporting).
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Manage accounting/reporting for all programs & enterprise activities.
    • Lead audits, statutory filings, and risk management.
  4. Capacity Building:
    • Train staff on financial compliance quarterly.
    • Support donor reporting, partner reviews & resource mobilization.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, BCOM, or BBA (Accounting/Finance).
  • Certification: CPA or ACCA (mandatory).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in financial management across NGO + enterprise settings.
    • Proven skills in hybrid funding models, donor compliance & risk mitigation.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced QuickBooksMS Excel, and financial analytics tools.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • High ethical standards, strategic thinker, collaborative leader.
    • Ability to drive financial sustainability & investment readiness.
