JOB DETAILS:
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an INGO promoting adult education, community development and livelihood support among refugees since 1997 as an operational partner to UNHCR and OPM and since 2020 implementing partner to WFP. FRC is seeking for suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the position of:

Contract duration: From August/September to end of December 2025 with possibility for one year extension upon confirmation of project funding
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility is to ensure that the Human Resource procedures are followed and implemented in compliance with the FRC defined systems and processes.
Main tasks:
• Participate in recruitment, placement and separation process of staff in line with FRC procedures.
• Arrange and prepare orientation schedules for newly hired staff and provide them with the necessary start-up paperwork.
• In liaison with the HR Manager, monitor the performance management of staff.
• Prepare support staff’s on-boarding documentation.
• Provide updates for both medical and GPA insurances and act as insurance focal point for staff.
• Ensure that systematic personal filing systems (physical and electronic) are up to date.
• Prepare monthly payroll and related documentation to justify the transactions.
• Update leave database and provide monthly updates to staff on the use.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly HR report.
• Print, photocopy, bind, file and scan official documents when required.
Education & Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other relevant such as Business Administration with specialization on HR, Industrial & Organizational Psychology or Social Science combined with HR related work experience.
Experience:
• At least 1 years’ experience in Human Resource Management.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Well organised with good analytical report writing skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
