JOB DETAILS:

Duty Station: Kampala
Remuneration: T4 according to Tamani Scale Contract
Type: Renewable
Contract Period: 3 Years
Reports to: Director of Operations

Role:
Assist marketing and business development manager to design, develop and implement effective marketing strategies for responsible tourism, business model that promotes the company ideologies leading to profitability and in line with the mission and vision of Tamani Africa

Duties
1. Assist in design, develop and implement annual marketing strategies plans that are consistent with the company’s responsible tourism policy, company vision and mission and sustainably promotes the company products and services, in the public, shareholders, stakeholders and partners.
2. Assist to design, develop and implement market survey techniques for company that are undertaken for responsible tourism, monitor evaluation tools and maintaining a positive image between the company and the public.
3. Assist in designing tools that aggressively market the company’s products and services leading to profitability through the responsible tourism activities and promotes the company’s ideologies among public minds.
4. Prepare periodic reports regarding all marketing operations in responsible tourism including quarterly and annual reports for action in the executive team.
5. Assist in designing, maintain and update the company’s brand strategies consistent with the company’s mission and vision and aggressively defend the company’s image from time to time
6. Represent the company on key international platforms including international tourism exhibitions, conferences and workshops for responsible tourism.
7. Help to maintain a positive working relation between the company and governmental agencies, major stakeholders, shareholders, partners and the public regarding responsible tourism.
8. Strategically position Tamani Africa limited, its services and products in responsible tourism as global leaders in implementing responsible tourism initiatives.
9. Assist in designing responsible tourism platforms for the company that provides empowerment in green marketing concepts in industry actors.

Qualifications
1. A minimum of a degree in social work, social science and other related field
2. Three years’ of working experience in areas of wildlife and tourism.
3. Demonstrable research skills such as data analytics, statistics, or survey design.
4. Impeccable writing and organizational skills.
5. Team-working and communication skills.
