The key purpose of this role is to be responsible for ensuring our BEES marketplace initiative serves our primary commercial objective in Uganda. The scope includes digital sales, marketing tech, and route to market solutions. The role will work closely with the Uganda commercial teams to understand our customer, consumer and business requirements, and will collaborate with them to align to the marketplace strategy and deliverables in market, specifically to get to >70% penetration of the BEES buyers. The role will also be responsible for marketplace buyers monitoring, evaluation, trouble shooting, and reporting – and supporting the commercial Teams driving the initiative to make sure the customers' needs are heard and addressed accordingly.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist the Marketplace PMO in project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Trade Contact: Spend 3 to 4 days weekly in trade as directed by the PMO, to drive marketplace penetration.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate clear communication and alignment on rollout strategies and activities.
- User Training: Train the customers on how to use marketplace and ensure they place orders successfully.
- Order Delivery: Ensure all orders placed by the customers are delivered on time and in full
- Quality Assurance: Engage with the customers on product selection to identify and report platform issues.
- Customer Support Coordination: Act as a frontline point of contact for supporting the customers to address inquiries, issues, and feedback.
- User Adoption: Drive the user adoption strategies on ground, including the distribution of promotional materials and engagement campaigns.
- Reporting: Submit detailed reports daily of the rollout process, including progress reports and issue logs.

Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or digital platforms in Uganda or similar markets.
- Experience working in trade, customer engagement, or marketplace operations is a plus.
- Experience in FMCG, sales or distribution roles is highly valuable.
